- Membership in Texas VOAD can help to secure registration discounts for training and conferences.
- Texas VOAD provides a forum for your organization to develop and/or strengthen relationships with more than 55 peer organizations within the State of Texas.
- Membership in Texas VOAD allows you to join the VOAD movement and connect with other State VOADs and National VOAD.
Categories of Membership
Full Membership is available to organizations and federations that are:
- exempt from Federal income taxation under Section 501(a) of the Code
- statewide in scope, purpose, and capability
- voluntary, and active in disasters within the State of Texas
- have a primary function and work that is consistent with the Corporation; and
- have agreed to pay dues.
Required Documentation:
- Determination Letter proving exemption from Federal income taxation under Section 501(a) of the Code
- Articles of Incorporation
- Bylaws
- Proof of Membership in local/regional LTRG/COAD/VOAD
- Proof of Membership in another State VOAD (* if applicable)
- Resolution of the Board of Directors
- (3) Letters of Reference (Emergency Management Agency – 1; Texas VOAD Full Member – 2)
Annual Dues – $100.00
Associate Membership is available to organizations, federations, and regional disaster-focused networks within the State of Texas, that are:
- eligible for exemption from Federal income taxation under Section 501(a) of the Code
- active in disasters within the State of Texas
- have a primary function and work that is consistent with the Corporation;Â but
- are unable to meet the requirements of Full Membership.
Required Documentation:
- Determination Letter proving exemption from Federal income taxation under Section 501(a) of the Code (* if applicable)
- Articles of Incorporation (* if applicable)
- Bylaws (* if applicable)
- Proof of Membership in local/regional LTRG/COAD/VOAD, or another State VOAD (* if applicable)
- Resolution of the Board of Directors (* if applicable)
- (2) Letters of Reference (Emergency Management Agency – 1; Texas VOAD Full or Associate Member – 1)
Annual Dues – $0.00
Governmental Partnership is open to State and Federal Agencies that:
- bring resources to the VOAD movement; and
- demonstrate a commitment to support the Texas VOAD mission.

Private Partnership is open to Private Sector entities that:
- bring resources to the VOAD movement
- demonstrate a commitment to support the Texas VOAD mission; and
- agree to contribute to Texas VOAD.
Required Documentation:
- Proof of Membership in a local/regional LTRG/COAD/VOAD, or another State VOAD (* if applicable)
- (1) Letter of Reference from Texas VOAD Full or Associate Member
